Citrine is Hayley Kiyoko's third extended play, released on September 30, 2016. It was announced on August 8, 2016[1] and was released through Empire and Atlantic.

- "I started caring a citrine crystal around with me because I got a concussion right after I finished writing the EP. I’ve been dealing with concussion stuff throughout the year, so this crystal I’ve been carrying around has been helping me stay happy, it’s helped me to get rid of my self-doubt, and it’s just centering me. I thought, ‘If this is helping me this much, I should call my EP Citrine because that’s what I want my EP to do for my fans – I want to promote happiness and get rid of self-doubt, I want to do that for them.’ That’s why I called it Citrine."
