"Blame Joy" is an unreleased song by Hayley Kiyoko which was intended for her debut EP, A Belle to Remember. It was also considered to be part of her debut album, Expectations, but was also scrapped.

The song was first announced on October 22, 2012.[1] Kiyoko released a video showing the making of Blame Joy on the same day.
Kiyoko posted several snippets of this song on twitter and other social media. She went into the studio to finish this song on December 3, 2012. However, it never got released for unknown reasons.[2] According to one fan, who claims to have been in a Q&A with her, it didn't make the EP, and later her debut album, because her sound/artistry kind of progressed past it, but she is thinking of revisiting the song and revamping it because of the hype behind it.[3]
Some fans merged the snippets into a draft of what the actual sound might have been like.[4]

Trivia Edit
- This song, interestingly, features she-pronouns. However, Kiyoko was not out by the time this song was recorded. She had her public coming out after "Girls Like Girls" was released as a single, about three years after this song was recorded.
